Hawaiian Palm
The Hawaiian Palm is the rarest house plant in the world, with just 7 plants left in the wild!
The rare, fascinating ‘Hawaiian Palm’ or Brighamia Insignis was once very common on the islands of Hawaii – but sadly no more because the specific hawk moth responsible for its pollination has all but died out due to environmental pressure. The few remaining plants that were found clinging to a vertical volcanic rock face, had to be handpollinated and their seed collected by brave rock climbers to ensure its continued existence.
These seeds have been nurtured over the last few seasons, and now this unique plant is available – you’ll find it’s perfectly happy being the centre of attention in your living room or conservatory here in the UK!
The Hawaiian Palm comes in a 13cm pot for just £19.99.
